As a teacher, words matter to me. The use of our language that advertisers, government officials, the military, corporate spokespeople et al have put it to disturbs me. The misplaced and dangerous priorities of our society frighten and anger me. Moreover, the degradation of our environment in multiple ways, for example chemicals, nuclear waste, additives in food, etc all in the name of corporate profit is of great concern.
My collages are an attempt, serious and yet somewhat irreverent, to pass comment on all of this.
